To all our CRAs and CRMs, 
 
The ICRM is once again conducting a Salary Survey and we would like to hear from you.  Last year we had about a 33% response but would love to hear from more of you this year.  In addition to salary data, this survey will also allow us to provide you specific data based on industry, region, education, position / role, and more.  This is an important Survey for the RIM / IG profession, and we hope you can use the results to leverage improved salary and resources at your place of employment.
 
This brief survey should take no more than five minutes to complete.  Please complete the survey by Friday, August 25. Please contact admin@icrm.org if you need the link resent to you.
 
We are planning on conducting this salary survey on a bi-annual basis moving forward to provide us with more consistent CRA / CRM salary trending and analysis.  We will then publish the results in an ICRM Salary Survey Report as a benefit to our members.  For one year, only our members will have access to the Survey, and then we will release the results more broadly after the year is over.   The Salary Survey and Membership Survey will alternate annual cycles.
 
Our goal with this initiative is to consistently collect and report data that can easily be translated to meaningful insights to our members.

Dear Members,

The ICRM has many active and accomplished volunteers that work selflessly to give back to the RIM profession.  The passion and dedication that our volunteers put into their work is clear; their talent deserves to be widely recognized and rewarded.

It is with great pleasure that we announce that nominations for our 2023 Awards are now open!

ICRM Member of the Year Award
The ICRM Member of the Year Award honors an individual’s accomplishments and service to the ICRM over the last 18 months (as of July 1, 2023). A recipient of the ICRM Member of the Year Award is an active member or retired member in good standing who has contributed significantly to the ICRM through volunteer opportunities within the institute. Learn more and apply.

ICRM Lifetime Achievement Award
The ICRM Lifetime Achievement Award honors an individual’s accomplishments and service to the ICRM and the Records and Information Management profession over at least 10 years. Lifetime achievement indicates a significant positive impact to the ICRM, its members, and the Records and Information Management profession. A recipient of the ICRM Lifetime Achievement Award is a CRM or retired CRM in good standing who has contributed significantly to the ICRM throughout their career; one who has been a role model, leader, influencer, or mentor. Learn more and apply.

The established ICRM Mentor of the Year Award
The ICRM Mentor of the Year Award honors ICRM Mentors that have gone above and beyond in guiding their mentees through the exam process for at least one year. A recipient of the ICRM Mentor of the Year Award is a CRM in good standing who has contributed significantly to mentoring on behalf of ICRM. Learn more and apply.

John Krysa Remembrance Award: New Member Dues Waiver

The ICRM is pleased to announce the John Krysa Remembrance Award. The award will serve as a dues waiver for our newest members and to recognize the positive contributions of John Krysa, ICRM Past-President. 

Any candidate who becomes newly certified as of February 5th, 2023, the date of John's passing, will receive a one-time annual dues waiver as an award for becoming certified.  For those who qualify and have already paid their dues, this waiver will apply to the following year. The dues waiver will remain in effect until the funds are no longer available. Qualifying Members will receive a discount code on Tuesday, October 31 for their 2024 dues.  Qualified members after November 1, 2023 will receive their dues waiver the following year.

John Krysa generously donated money to the ICRM before his passing. Additionally, family, friends, and colleagues donated funds in lieu of flowers per John’s wishes. The contributions, totaling over $11,000, will be used to cover the cost of the Dues Waiver. Donations are still being accepted on the John Krysa Memorial Page.

ICRM President Caroline Walters shares, “The John Krysa Remembrance Award is an opportunity to celebrate our newest ICRM Members and to keep John’s passion and commitment to the ICRM alive. While John will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on through our future leaders of RIM.” The ICRM is deeply grateful for John Krysa’s dedication to the ICRM and the generous donations. 

John Krysa, past President of the ICRM, passed away on February 5, 2023 after a year-long fight with cancer. He will be remembered fondly as a mentor and friend. His accomplishments included initiating ICRM’s move to a new technology partner, leading the creation of the Federal Specialist Designation, and furthering our strategic partnerships with other organizations.
